Ron and Jan established Sharp Mountain Vineyards with a single focus: to produce the best quality wines possible. Unlike growth-oriented and machine-dominated vineyards, Sharp Mountain Vineyards produces approximately 8 tons annually with winery capacity of 7,000 botles per year. This enables Ron and Jan to give their wines the kind of individual attention that makes each one special. All of the wines produced at Sharp Mountain are unfiltered and very low in sulfites. The dry wines have zero residual sugar.
Chardonnay
Light and delicate on the palate with crisp acidity and luscious finish. Clean varietal flavors of green apple, lemon, with undertones of butterscotch.
Viognier
Rhone varietal lush, seductive, and exotically perfumed golden wine with intense bouquet of honeysuckle, ripe apricot, and hazelnut with subtle touch of acidity.
Gewurztraminer
Alsatian style with heady aromatic intensity of gardenia and Jamaican allspice. Delicate yet spicy with seductive rose petal flavors.
Cabernet Franc
Fruit-filled nose of plum, blackberry, and a trace of vanilla. Soft subtle tannins and balanced acidity with chocolate flavers at the finish.
Cabernet Sauvignon
Rich Garnet color with lovely cedar on the nose. Ripe flavors of blackberry, currant, and cassis explode on the palate followed by rich polished tannins. Deliciously young but will lay well in your cellar.
Pinot Noir
A cornucopia of red cherry, strawberry, and ripe tomato accentedby a breath of sassafras. The delicate layers of flavor drift across the palate with an earthy fruit-based finish.
Collage
Menage’a trios in the Bordeaux tradition. The Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc add subtleness and structure with rich layers of black cherry, raspberry, cassis, and hints of vanilla & chocolate. Lingering in the background are classic aromas of Merlot. The palate is soft with a velvety finish.
Merlot
Enchanting, earthy bouquet of black cherry and cedar mingles with the flavors of rich plum and hints of black tea and chocolate followed by a silky finish.
Sangiovese
The pride of Tuscany and grape of Chianti is gentle and elegant with aromas of cherry and raisin integrated with a lingering finish and a round structure.
Touriga
Densely aromatic tannic wine with black fruit fragrance and finesse. Overlying notes of flowers, green tea, and plums.
Trebonnay
Delicate blend of Chardonnay and Trebbiano in a semi-sweet wine with flavors of pear, mango, and citrus. Perfect fare for hot-tub, patio, or pool-side.
Rosé
Our semi-sweet blend with a pretty stone fruit nose and palate of cherries and raspberries. An ideal food wine.
Carrera
A charming floral bouquet with crisp fruity flavors and sweet finish. Our best picnic or just for sipping wine.
Pickens Pink
Sweet blush wine with a delightful cherry-berry after-taste. Serve chilled as a porch wine. Pickens Pink is also excellent picnic fare.
Etowah
A sweet red wine for white wine drinkers! A neatly balanced composition of soft tannins and distinctive fruits and bouquet. Serve chilled.
